Ruth Moselle (Browning) VanHorn

Ruth Moselle Van Horn 87, of McConnelsville, passed away February 18, 2026 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville. She was born March 4, 1938 in Shawnee, the daughter of the late, Grover Browning and Louise Dobson Browning. She was a retired registered nurse and worked at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville and many nursing homes in the area, and was a member of the Malta Methodist Church in Malta. She is survived by her nephews, Bryan Pontious and Ken Browning both of Crooksville; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Van Horn; sisters, Delores Lloyd and Geraldine Pontious; brothers, Grover Browning, Dwight Browning, John Browning, and Luther Browning. Friends may call Friday, February 27, 2026at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville from 12 to 2 p.m.  services will be at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Erik Ostrow officiating. She will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery beside her husband.
