Karen G. (Moody) Paynter

Karen G. Paynter 73 of Zanesville, passed away at 5:00 a.m. January 20, 2026 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born January 27, 1952 in Zanesville the daughter of the late, Harold Moody and Freda Murphey Moody. She is survived by her children, Crystal Gohring, Paula Willey, and Edward Paynter III; seven grandchildren, Florence (Ethan) Kristen, Lilly, Leigha, Cameo, Gunner, and Kloie; four great grandchildren, Elijah, Carson, Jesse, and Billie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Paynter and her husband, Edward Paynter Sr. and one sister, Barbara Parker. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 2:00p.m. She will be laid to rest in Malta cemetery beside her husband.
